Sourdough Rise — Delete your data

Sourdough Rise has no accounts. There is no username, email address, or password to delete, because we never collect any. What our server holds is tied to an anonymous identifier your device generated the first time you used an online feature.

You can delete all of it yourself, from inside the app, at any time.

Deleting from the app

1. Open Sourdough Rise.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete all my data.
4. Confirm. The deletion happens immediately — there is no waiting period and nothing is recoverable afterwards.

What gets deleted

From our server, immediately and permanently:

• Every photo you submitted for an assessment, and the assessment results.
• Every share link you created, and the pages they pointed at.
• Every reading you posted to the community feed.
• The reactions and reports you left on other people's readings.
• Your anonymous device identifier and its record of subscription status and usage.

From your device, if you choose that option when confirming:

• Your starters, feed history, peak marks, bake plans, notes and photos — the whole log, which is stored only on your device and was never uploaded.

What we keep, and for how long

Nothing that identifies you or your device. Our server keeps ordinary web request logs for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention, and aggregate counts that cannot be traced back to a device. Deleting your data does not cancel a paid subscription — subscriptions are held by Apple or Google, and you cancel them in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Deletion runs from the device that holds the identifier, so uninstalling first removes your ability to trigger it yourself. Email kyled@beaconlightinvestments.com and we will delete it for you. We may need a detail that lets us find the right records — the approximate date of your last assessment, or the link to something you shared. We will confirm by email when it is done, within 30 days and usually much sooner.
